10 Year Pilates Intel Anniversary Edition!
Hi !!
Yeah baby, it’s been 10 years!!
Let me tell you a little how it went down….
Ten years ago while bored at work, I received an email about starting an “inbox-newsletter.” At first, I dismissed it as one of those ‘get-rich-quick-trash-emails’, but for some reason I decided to invest $500 in learning how to create my own Pilates newsletter.
It turned out to be a wise decision, and I’ve had a cool and rewarding experience ever since.
Prior to launch – the biggest obstacle I faced was self-doubt – would I have 3 subscribers (my cat, my aunt and me)? But with determination, I managed to punch through it and sent out the first edition of Pilates Intel to just 20 people.
And it took off!!
As more subscribers signed up, so did contributors eager to share their expertise.
…which brought more subscribers…..and more contributors…
With a few years of a “pretty good newsletter” under my belt, another notable email from Dave, the brilliant editor, landed in my inbox offering to take my newsletter to the next level. Although he could have been a clown, I decided to take a chance as who wouldn’t want to go to the next level? Fortunately, Dave was no clown.
His expertise, dedication and dependability helped transform my project into a professional-quality publication.
…which brought more subscribers…..and Piltates Intel became a Pilates houshold name, and AN HONOR to be published in!.
Dave-the-brilliant-editor was a game changer because he brought each and every Pilates Intel article (along with my intros) up to a professional level!!
THANK YOU DAVE-THE-BRILLIANT-EDITOR!!
Putting out an international Pilates newsletter can be hard work, but it is worth all the wonderful opportunities to connect with other Pilates enthusiasts and share knowledge globally.
It’s been a BLAST – (as all the pics reveal!!).
Do you want to help me celebrate year 10?
At present, only approximately 1% of our subscribers donate to cover costs.
Running a newsletter comes with costs. From email marketing services to web hosting fees, there are various expenses that I have incurred over the years – and paid out of pocket.
Please help me to increase this percentage to 2% by donating – that will do the trick to cover costs!!
Let’s hope for another ten years of sharing high-quality Pilates content!
Brett
